Special Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, 2 May 2017
6:00 PM
The Board of Finance held a meeting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, 2 May 2017 in the Mezzanine Conference Room of the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall.
Present: Regular Members:~ Andy Russell, Chris Kerr,
Janet Sturges, H. P. Garvin, III
Alternate Members:
Bonnie A. Reemsnyder, First Selectwoman, ex-officio
Absent: Regular Members:~ David Woolley, Bennett Bernblum~

The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM by Chairman Andy Russell
- Approval of Assessor Appointment: First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder shared the resume of Melinda Kronfeld with the Board. Melinda Kronfeld is currently the Assistant Assessor in the Town of Clinton, and was one of five qualified candidates who were interviewed by a three member panel, which included BAA member, George Finley, BOF member Chris Kerr, and First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder. The panel unanimously agreed that Ms. Kronfeld was the right fit for Old Lyme, and recommended her appointment to the Board of Selectmen, with approval by the Board of Finance. Chris Kerr added that he felt that as Melinda was coming from a similar, shoreline community, she was the best candidate and would adapt very well to our office. He also pointed out that the Town of Clinton uses the same program as we use, so the learning curve would
be minimized.
A motion was made by Chris Kerr to approve the appointment of Melinda Kronfeld as Assessor for the Town of Old Lyme. Second by Janet Sturgess. So voted.
- Adjournment: A motion was made by Janet Sturgess to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 PM. Second by Chris Kerr. So voted.
